A Creative Transformation

This is a pilot project with art workshops, discussion events and NHS training about art, the brain and mental health. The project aims to benefit individuals experiencing post-brain injury hallucinations or mental health challenges, along with mental health professionals, academics, and artists interested in innovative approaches in mental health care. Utilizing film and audio-visual arts, the initiative facilitates practical engagement with mental health concerns, aiding a group of patients in discovering novel coping mechanisms for brain injuries. The content will initiate discussions in NHS training and the creative health sector. Workshops involving artists, academics and clinicians will leverage this material to advance creative treatments.

We are working with NHS Trusts in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and London; University College London, University of Birmingham and University of Oxford, with further collaborations for people with lived experience in Huddersfield and Buckinghamshire.
